I recommend staying there or another "familiar" hotel like the Marriott or something. I also suggest doing research about Guayaquil before you go. I had the benefit of being with a local. Guayaquil is not the safest city. I didnt wear a watch or anything that signified wealth for 4 days as I was advised numerous times that it was not safe. There is lots to see though. I def recommend checking out the museums that I wasnt able to see because they were closed. My plan was a pretty good one and easy to walk. It looked like this:

Museo de Guayaquil
Iguana Park
Museo Nahim Isiais
Walk the Malecon - artisan market (north)
Las Penas (Malecon south prob need a diff day for this)

You will want to stick to hotels to hail taxis for you. Do not hail one at the airport or on the streets. Definitely try to see the city. The architecture and art is beautiful.SteveBMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10203167407546384904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969440448635987683.post-25948379666433066842011-02-22T07:35:32.121-05:002011-02-22T07:35:32.121-05:00So glad you're posting again (well, I hope you...So glad you're posting again (well, I hope you'll be posting a little more... ha ha).
